Ryan Bryson, Family & Child Therapy, Vienna VA

Ryan Bryson

MS, LPC, NCC

My mission as a therapist is to empower individuals in navigating their unique areas of struggle by providing a safe and supportive space for healing. I specialize in addressing various mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, gender identity, suicidal ideation/self-harm, and other internal or external difficulties.

I offer person-centered therapy, utilizing an integrated approach that remains authentic to each client's individual needs. I meet clients where they are in their mental health journey, tailoring my approach to provide the most suitable and individualized assistance. With extensive experience in play therapy, I find immense joy in this facet of mental health therapy.

My expertise lies in working with children and teenagers who grapple with overwhelming emotions and significant life transitions. By helping them develop coping skills and emotional regulation, I guide them towards personal growth and self-actualization. My aim is to foster a sense of acceptance, validation, and support for each client, enabling them to confidently express their feelings, process their emotions, and embark on their journey towards healing.

Having served as a Veteran, firefighter, and EMT, I intimately understand the impact of trauma on individuals. Drawing on my personal experiences and employing trauma-informed modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I assist clients in effectively processing their traumas in a regulated and empowering manner.

I strongly believe in fostering an inclusive and affirming environment where clients are free to explore and embrace their true selves, unburdened by societal standards. Together, we can nurture your individual expression and help you discover lasting healing and personal fulfillment.
