Their unique approaches complement our team beautifully, and we can't wait for you to meet them. Here's a little more about each of them:
👋 Meet Amanda Billups, Supervisee in Social Work
Amanda brings heart, creativity, and curiosity to her work with children ages 3-12 and their families. With a background in foster care, adoption, and community-based family therapy, Amanda specializes in trauma recovery, attachment repair, and emotional regulation.
Her work is grounded in child-centered play therapy, expressive arts, and strength-based approaches. Amanda takes a “behavior detective” lens—helping caregivers understand the meaning beneath their child’s behaviors rather than focusing on correction. She meets children where they are, creating safe spaces for them to express themselves through play, storytelling, and connection.
Amanda partners closely with caregivers to strengthen attachment, co-regulate emotions, and rebuild trust after adversity. Her approach is humanistic, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and fully neurodiversity-affirming.
✨ Amanda’s work is all about creating spaces where kids and families feel seen, understood, and supported on their healing journeys.
👋 Meet Jessica Shin, LCSW
Jessica brings a compassionate, collaborative approach that honors each child’s unique way of experiencing the world. She supports kids and teens with depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, trauma, and emotional regulation struggles—meeting them with curiosity and warmth, not judgment.
Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children and teens navigating big feelings, life transitions, and the challenges of being their authentic selves in a world that doesn't always make space for them.
Jessica partners with caregivers to create lasting change—where growth happens not because it’s forced, but because it’s safe. Using Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and other trauma-informed, strengths-based modalities, she helps families build understanding, communication, and resilience.
✨ Jessica creates spaces where children and teens don’t need to mask or perform. She cultivates an environment where your child's nervous system can settle naturally, where they can explore their feelings without judgment
