If you've ever wondered whether you might be autistic, have ADHD, or carry a neurological profile that's simply never had a name — you're not alone. For many adults, the hardest part isn't the wondering. It's the waiting. Traditional neuropsychological testing can take months to access, and for neurodivergent individuals who've spent years feeling misunderstood, that wait is more than an inconvenience. That's why we're thrilled to announce that Family & Child Therapy is now offering virtual psychological assessments for young adults and adults — a streamlined, affirming evaluation process you can complete from home, on your schedule.

Our assessment process is comprehensive, accessible, and built with the neurodivergent experience in mind. It begins with a free consultation to discuss your questions and determine whether a full evaluation is the right fit. From there, you'll complete a self-paced packet of research-based questionnaires — over a single day or across multiple sessions, however works best for you. Next, you'll meet with our clinician via secure video for an in-depth clinical interview. Finally, a feedback session brings it all together: your results, any diagnoses, and personalized recommendations delivered in a clear, supportive conversation. Our goal is to get you answers in weeks, not months.

What makes our approach different is the lens through which we evaluate. As a neurodiversity-affirming practice, we know that autism and ADHD don't look the same in everyone — and that adults, particularly those who are female or were socialized as female, are frequently misdiagnosed or overlooked entirely. Late-identified neurodivergent adults often spend years masking, adapting, and wondering why things that seem easy for others feel so difficult. We use evidence-based, identity-informed assessment tools and approach every evaluation with curiosity, not checklists. Whether you're seeking formal documentation for workplace accommodations, finally pursuing a diagnosis you've suspected for years, or simply looking for language to describe your experience — this process is designed to honor your story.

Virtual assessments are available to young adults and adults in the states where our clinician is licensed. Fees range from $1,500–$2,500 depending on the complexity of the evaluation and whether a written report is needed. If you're ready to stop wondering and start understanding yourself more fully, we'd love to support you. Reach out to our intake coordinator at info@familyandchildtherapy.com to take the first step.
